ACEP Summer Internship Program 2025

Now in its seventh year, the ACEP Summer Internship Program selected 17 interns to work on a range of energy research projects across Alaska. Each intern is mentored by a researcher from the Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) to focus on an Alaska-based energy project.

The cohort consists of two internship strands -- NSF REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) as well as AUSI (ACEP Undergraduate Summer Internship).

The students began the summer with an orientation week in Anchorage, where they attended sessions at the Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference and had engaged in discussions around the resources, technologies and operations that power Alaska鈥檚 diverse energy systems.
