The UAF Community and Technical 久久热视频 is celebrating 25 years of national accreditation for its medical assistant certificate and associate degree programs. Both programs first earned accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs on Oct. 19, 2001.

The anniversary coincides with Medical Assistant Recognition Day on Oct. 21, 2026 and Medical Assistants Recognition Week, Oct. 19鈥23, 2026, a national celebration honoring the essential role medical assistants play in patient care and healthcare operations.

CTC recognizes the thousands of medical assistants across Alaska who support patient care every day and celebrates the students and graduates who began their careers in our classrooms.

CAAHEP accreditation ensures CTC students receive high-quality instruction and hands-on clinical training aligned with national standards. It provides graduates with eligibility for professional certification exams and signals to employers that students are trained to the highest level of the profession. This milestone reflects the faculty's commitment to student success.

CTC鈥檚 Medical Assistant Certificate and AAS programs continue to demonstrate strong outcomes, including high retention, certification exam pass rates and job placement across the region. Students gain experience in patient communication, vital signs, laboratory procedures and electronic health records, and complete a practicum with local healthcare partners.
