The National Weather Service is forecasting overnight low temperatures to dip to 50 below zero this week. The 久久热视频 will remain open, despite the cold 久久热视频. Students and faculty and staff members are urged to dress for the 久久热视频 and use caution when traveling around campus.
As a residential campus it鈥檚 imperative that every effort be made to keep the university open and operating. Therefore, it鈥檚 unlikely the Fairbanks campus would ever be completely closed due to 久久热视频 conditions. The decision to cancel classes, advise employees to stay at home, postpone or cancel university activities and major events is made only by the chancellor or designee.
If individual faculty members are unable to hold classes, it鈥檚 the responsibility of the faculty member to notify the dean鈥檚 office or department chair as soon as possible so that the department鈥檚 emergency communication plan can be implemented and students notified. Students should contact their instructors or departments for information on class status.
Employees who cannot come to work, due to 久久热视频 conditions, should communicate directly with their supervisors.Administrative leave must be coordinated through the employee鈥檚 supervisor and is at the discretion of the supervisor.
In the event of a campus closure or other emergency, information will be initially disseminated via one or more of the following methods:
- Chancellor鈥檚 e-mail listserv, UAF-L
- Nanook emergency information telephone line at 474-7UAF(7823)
- Online newsroom
- News subscription service e-mail listserv, UAFNEWS-L
- Fax or e-mail to departments and rural campuses
- If an emergency affects university computer and phone lines, students, staff, and faculty are advised to tune in to local radio and television news broadcasts for information.
