Bad ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ notices?

The last time there was a major ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ event (rain) there was no notification from UAF. What is the formal policy for bad ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ events for the university? In the past I've heard UAF does not close for ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ because we're a residential campus but other universities close for ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ-related issues (that are also residential).
