Teaching Tip: How to create a scheduled session in Collaborate

Collaborate is a web conference system that is part of the Blackboard Learning Management
System. Each semester when the UAF Office of Information Technology creates your course
shell, a connection to Collaborate is also created. Collaborate provides a system
to meet with your students synchronously no matter where the students or you are located.How to create a scheduled session
- Log in to Blackboard
- Under 鈥淐ourse Management,鈥 click 鈥淐ourse Tools鈥
- Click 鈥淏lackboard Collaborate鈥
- Click 鈥淐reate Session鈥
- Give the session a name
- Set the time and date for the session
- Allow at least 15 minutes for early entry into session (up to one hour may be allowed for early entry)
