Week鈥檚 events: UAF history, pain lecture, insects, classic tunes

free lectures, concerts and other events this summer. Here is what鈥檚 happening during
the week ahead:
On Monday, June 3, the Down Memory Lane interview series will include a discussion with Aldona Jonaitis, retired UAF professor of anthropology and director of the University of Alaska Museum of the North. Veteran journalist Robert Hannon will conduct the interview, which will be at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.
On Tuesday, June 4, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature physical therapists Rachel Campbell and Jake Kretschmar. They will discuss 鈥淯nderstanding Chronic Pain and How It Can Be Conservatively Managed.鈥 The lecture will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
On Wednesday, June 5, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Derek Sikes, curator of insects at the UA Museum of the North, on 鈥淐limate Change Impacts on Insects in Alaska and Globally.鈥 The lecture will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
On Thursday, June 6, the Music in the Garden concert series will host O Tallulah, a Fairbanks group that performs classic country, folk and gospel music. Music begins at 7 p.m. in the Georgeson Botanical Garden.
