free lectures, concerts and other events this summer. Here is what鈥檚 happening during
the week ahead:
鈥 On Monday, Aug. 5, the Down Memory Lane interview series will include a discussion
with Ron Smith, retired UAF professor of zoology. Veteran journalist Robert Hannon
will conduct the interview, which will be at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Tuesday, Aug. 6, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature endocrinologist
Muhammad Ahmed, on 鈥淚s Testosterone Replacement A Panacea for Middle Aged Men?鈥 The
lecture will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Wednesday, Aug. 7, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Mike Emers,
owner of Rosie Creek Farm. Emers will discuss 鈥淔rom Cabbage to Cannabis: Twenty Years
on a Subarctic Farm.鈥 The lecture will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Thursday, Aug. 8, the Music in the Garden concert series will host the E.T. Barnette
String Band. Music begins at 7 p.m. in the Georgeson Botanical Garden.
